Boards and member accounts will stay the same, but there will be a lot of new features: * free image hosting! (freakin' finally! Now you'll be able to post pics anytime you want, straight from your hard drive to the board.) * integrated wysiwyg editor for posting and editing in different areas * email subscriptions and rss links for boards, forums and topics * advanced search * tags in topics and profiles * unlimited smilies * add kudos (ratings) to boards and profiles * chatrooms Improved user profiles with the following features: * Show off your media, with video * Link to your own gallery and albums for photographs * interactive profiles * member blogs in profiles * advanced private message system with unlimited storage * linked profiles with multiple signatures for each profile * comments and replies from other users * friends box to show your friends and link to their profiles * drag and drop layout, enable or disable all customizable parts of your profile * custom html boxes for anything you like - Z How Do You Tell When You're Out Of Invisible Ink?

Posts: 10048 01/13/08 11:13 PM Beep-Beep Admin	Well the changeover has happened! Your username and password are the same, but everything is Yuku now. Basically your profile page is now more like a MySpace page. You can customize it, add or remove sections, change the look, link with friends' profiles, add your favorite groups, keep a blog, and upload photos into your own albums. Friends can comment on each others' pages, too. You can have multiple profiles all attached to your same account, so you can sign up for boards with whichever profile you want (like if you want to have different profiles for professional discussion groups vs. social ones). You can also set up multiple signatures for each profile, and sign posts with whichever one you want. Posts: 10048 01/13/08 11:21 PM Beep-Beep Admin	A couple things... First off, not everything is working perfectly yet. If you notice something that's not, please post about it so I can fix it (or see if Yuku is fixing it)! Secondly, if you don't see the text formatting tools on the reply screen (when you click Reply, not the Quick Reply area at the bottom of this page), you will need to change your personal preferences. Click "Navigation" at the top right of the screen to access your personal profile Click "Settings" over on the left, in your "Account" section (below where your name is.) In the Settings section, click the "Preferences" tab at the top. Change the bottom Preference setting for Editor Type to "bbcode." Posts: 10048 01/13/08 11:28 PM Beep-Beep Admin	If you don't want to bother with formatting text or adding links or pictures, then you can use the new Quick Reply at the bottom of the page. Smilies can be accessed by clicking the link just under the reply box. If you don't want to use your signature in the Quick Reply, then uncheck that box (to select a different signature than your default one, you have to use the regular reply screen.) Leave the "convert URLs" preference checked, that way it will automatically make your links clickable (I think you still have to type in the "http://" at the beginning for it to be made clickable.) - Z How Do You Tell When You're Out Of Invisible Ink?

Posts: 10048 01/14/08 2:14 AM Beep-Beep Admin	For the time being, I'm relaxing all the previous restrictions and banning and etc. The main page of the board can be seen by the public, although they can't enter any forums except the Waiting Room, Help, and News, which they can read but not post in. Once a person joins, they can read and post in those forums, but need special permission for any of the others (the Hangout, Powwow Chat, etc.) I still haven't figured out how to deal with assigning those permissions so for a while it's a little up in the air. Also all people previously banned are unbanned (except that sweetminimuffin, she was obnoxious), and I don't really care anymore about the pws.com moderator restriction. I'm just tired of it all, this board is pretty much just my 'front porch' on the net these days, the original intent having been lost long ago, so, whatever. I just want to hang out, drink some lemonade, whatever. I still don't want to see this board overrun with boyscout wannabes, but they enter at their own risk. I just want to hang out, drink some lemonade, whatever. I still don't want to see this board overrun with boyscout wannabes, but they enter at their own risk.
